Well today is Halloween. It truly is hard to believe that the holidays are right around the corner. I will enjoy in the festivities with my girls tonight. My oldest is will be a witch and my youngest a lady bug...wow pretty must completely opposite there lol my and dameron are unsure if we'll dress up, might be kind of fun ;0)
I do want to send out a little caution that if you're wanting images back by Christmas your sessions need to be held in November. tomorrow (nov 1st) me and my family will be decorating the studio for Christmas, and we will have a Christmas scene up! I'm very excited.

MOLLY

Specializing
After some hard thought i have decided that I am going to specalize in two major catagories. What this means is that most of my specials, marketing, & products will aim towards these two groups. Of course I will still take on other catagories here and there. I am going to specialize in babies & creative senior portraits.
Babies is meaning 12 months and younger, most clients will be on my baby plan.
Creative Senior portraits. This is something i'm super excited about. It won't be for all seniors as everyone has different tastes but i want to be set apart from other photographers. I do not want the "typical" senior portraits, these images will consist of dramatic make-up and hair, eery poses, fun poses, high fashion, merging images etc. I am going to look for ONE senior who will experiment with me. The Senior portraits will look very dramatic, and creative. I'm not wanting to do the typical smile, posed, "regular" senior portraits. I can't wait to test this out and have some images to show. One image that is aimed towards what i'm wanting to do is this:
of course with some clothes on LOL i did a couple of shots with Rachel also towards what i'm wanting to specialize in like this on:
Anywho big things are coming. Be prepared for an overhaul :) again i will still be here for your other sessions. OH and as for weddings i've decided i will ONLY accept 3 weddings for 2010. Until next time!!!

Seniors
Seems as though i am getting contacted by quite a few Seniors in the past couple weeks. I want to make sure all seniors are aware that they must have their senior picture submitted to the year book in December!!!! that is just around the corner, you don't have until spring to wait. So get booked ASAP!!! Plus the earlier you get your session done the earlier you get to start doing senior rep stuff, earning money, and gift cards!!!!!

I keep getting asked about christmas cards so i've purchased some templates and made some samples. I think they are toooo cute :)

Christmas Portraits
DATE CHANGE: I'm thinking of doing this now in December over the weekend of the 12th & 13th! However i need to see an interest in this or i cannot schedule it, please let me know if you'd like to participate in this???
So i've decided to to a Christmas Mini Session! I'm going to find a Santa and offer picture packages with santa. Not your traditional sit on Santa's lap type images. I want more creative possibly like Santa handing a "gift" to your child, kids eating Milk and cookies at a little table or candy canes, there will be some with the kiddos sitting on Santa's lap as well, santa holding little babies, i'll have a fake Christmas Tree with fake present etc. The weekend event will be November 21st & 22nd. These will be mini sessions 10-20 minutes with only one or two poses taken. You can choose one of two options (you can see these below). I'm also wanting to have this somewhat organized so I am requesting that you pick the collection you're wanting pay up front and schedule the time you'd like to have your session. If you'd like to purchase add ons those options will be presented during your appointment. I will NOT be offering this types of mini sessions again for a long time, this is also aimed towards children, not any family sessions. The set up won't be big enough for that.

October Special session
Ok as you might of read in a previous blog Fall is my FAVORITE season. I'm waning to do some sort of special for one day mini shoots only. I'm thinking with Hay, pumpkins, corn stalks if i can get some and any other fall items i can come up with. This would be a ONE DAY only type thing since it would make such a huge mess LOL possibly if i get a big response i'll make it a weekend thing. So below is the two options with the above set up, please vote to the right and tell me if it's something you'd be interested in, i'm looking at the weekend of Octber 24th.

Seniors
So yesterday I got the chance to do a senior session with a beautiful girl named Rachel. We had tons of fun i swear these session always seem to fly by and before i know it i've used an entire memory card haha Seniors are so fun, so much personality, and so daring, needless to say they even take direction pretty good :)
A lot of seniors are under the impression they have their whole seior year to do senior portraits, when in reality to make the year book and to have an image in there you need to have your session done by December. Typically seniors do their sessions the summer before their senior year (so all you juniors keep that in mind) in anycase if you haven't gotten your senior pics done yet i still have openings, don't stress, just get your appointment made! :0)
Thanks to all the seniors i've worked with so far this year, it's been super fun, you all are very unique and special and i believe you will go far in life :0)

The beginnings of Fall
So today is October 1st. This is my most favorite season so i'm super excited. i just love all of the wonderful colors that surround us in beautiful Oregon. I love watching the leaves turn from green to orange to red, makes me all warm and toasty inside :) The crisp air outside gives me the thoughts of sitting by the fire sipping a hot cup of chocolatey cocoa. All in all this time of year is a joyess time, a time families come together and celebrate and EAT wonderful food. This time of year is also the time both of my daughters were born. My oldest turns 6 on October 6th and my youngest turns 4 on December 8th. I'm very excited for this season, playing games, snuggling with my family, soups, turkey, etc.
I also know this time of year isn't the easiest for a lot of people. I'm thinking of having a toy drive or something. Possibly for the toys for tots since that's a Marine Corps thing and my husband just got out of the Marines. However sometimes it seems as though people WANT to help and say things sound like a great idea, yet their actions say something totally different. I would like to have a toy drive but i do not want to put in the effort to do something and have noone participate. Please let me know on the poll if you would donate a new unwrapped toy.
Oh and i almost forgot another thing that i just LOVE about this season..... the COLORS haha if you would like a session outdoors in the beautiful colors let me know ;)
